Crystal Clear Baubles

Clear is cool this season and us ladies at Bubble are ecstatic about that!  Staying on top of this trend will be a piece of cake with our beloved, featured jewelry designer, Luc Kieffer always on hand.  Collaborating with French fashion houses like Yves Saint-Laurent, Luc Kieffer made a name for himself among the Parisian fashion scene with his resin jewelry.  We adore him and make sure to always have a selection of his eye-catching, candy colored baubles at Bubble Boutique.

Chainsaw Massacre

Happy Friday!  I found these images of Viktor and Rolf's surrealist gowns from the Spring 2010 Runway show and couldn't help myself.  Are they impractical? Yes.  Are they awesome??  Hell Yes!

These shots are from Dazed and Confused's "The Amsterdam Chainsaw  Massacre" story in the Feb. issue styled by Katie Shillingford.

Designer Vanessa Bruno teams up with French it girl, and daughter of Jane Birkin, Lou Doillon, in her ongoing video poem directed by Stephanie Di Gusto.  In the video, Doillon frolics around in Bruno's gorgeous designs to a composition by Canadian pianist Gonzales.  Below is a sneak preview of the second installment from

I love her free-spirited dancing and those fuchsia silk pants. Oh to be cool and French.  Le sigh.

Classically Chic

It's raining in Portland, surprise surprise.  But... that means trench coats, cute rainboots and fun umbrellas!

I LOVE Trenchcoats, so timeless and versatile.  Just as much a fashion icon as the ladies below.

Jean Shrimpton photographed by David Bailey on the streets of NY in 1962.

French singer Francois Hardy looking effortlessly chic back in the 60's as well.

I stand by my navy blue trench from Gryphon to channel the ladies of the 60's I wish I could be.  Above are some examples from Gryphon's Spring 2010 Collection.

Since watching Tarantino's "Inglorious Basterds" the other night, I can't stop thinking of Shosanna's fab birdcage headpiece.

Below is an amazing retro veil.

These are some modern examples from James Coviello's Fall 2008 collection.
AMAZING!!  Please someone in Portland hold an event where I can wear something so fabulous!  Maybe I should just throw a theme party?

Introducing Harvey Faircloth

Friends Katie Hatch, Abby Clawson Low, and Mara Papa teamed up to create this NY indie line that we are drooling over.

Even living in New York, these girls couldn't find the clothes they were longing to wear. Things you might see on ladies of the Silver Screen Anna Karina and Julie Christie were more their speed. So they decided to do it themselves! "Stand-out, stand-up modern classics with signature details and a certain fearless panache" is what they stand by.

"life is too short for bland career-wear!" We agree and can't wait to get some Harvey at Bubble this Spring!

Spring Preview

So excited for our Erin Kleinberg order to come in for Spring! It's all so sexy and comfy at the same time. I think I need it all.
